The Meaning Behind RealIlm
Understanding our name and the principles that drive us
The name "RealIlm" combines two powerful concepts: "Real" representing authenticity and truth, and "Ilm" (علم) – the Arabic word for knowledge. Together, they reflect our commitment to providing genuine, beneficial Islamic knowledge that connects students to the authentic teachings of the Qur'an and Sunnah.
In Islamic tradition, seeking knowledge is not just encouraged but obligatory. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said, "Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim." This hadith forms the foundation of our mission – to make that obligation accessible to all Muslims worldwide.
